Alprotect Carbon is the first external wall insulation system to offer unique carbon fibre basecoat technology when used with graphite enhanced expanded polystyrene, ensuring maximum resistance to mechanical stress (up to 60 joules) and improved thermal performance. Alprotect Carbon provides extreme durability and versatility to modern facade design. This slim-line patented system achieves enormous stability and unrivalled impact strength.
Alprotect Nova is the first facade system to be classified with European Technical Approval Fire Protection Class A, combining unique patented carbon technology and nano-hybrid binders that results in a mineral wool external wall insulation system that sets new standards in terms of protection and durability.
The system can also be applied with topcoats of light reflectance values as low as 5%, ensuring most shades of colour including dark ones and even black can be used successfully for the façades finish. In addition, thanks to the Hydrobalance® effect and modern nano-technology a very low soiling tendency of the finish is achieved. Therefore a perfect appearance for the façade is preserved for a very long-time.
Basic 1 is the primary external wall insulation system in the range. Incorporating graphite enhanced expanded polystyrene insulation, it is a high performance, fully acrylic or mineral based thin coat rendered facade system. It is ideal for the refurbishment of solid wall constructions, providing an easy to apply solution to effectively insulate the building.
Finishing the system are smooth and textured topcoats using; silicone renders rating highly in every category – water repellence, water-vapour permeability, colour stability, quality of application and toughness, synthetic-resin renders that can be produced in any colour shade and are particularly durable against weathering and yet are still water-vapour permeable, and mineral renders are particularly natural, durable and open to diffusion, whilst silicate renders have high CO2 and water vapour permeability.
Basic 4 is a thin coat external wall insulation system, incorporating graphite enhanced expanded polystyrene and brings together acrylic, clay, stone and ceramic finishes. This extensive range of slip finishes ensures outstanding design and creative opportunities for architects, designers and specifiers, plus a choice of material - all under one roof.
Basic 5 is a thick coat external wall insulation facade system with a spar dash finish presenting the designer the option of an attractive, highly durable facade. This finish is extremely resistant to impact and weather and offers a wide variety of design options. The Spar dash surface is made up of two components; the spar dash receiver and the spar dash chippings – the chippings are applied on site to form a particularly robust finish.
The Basic FS System is specified where LGSF construction for housing is specified. Incorporating a drainage cavity as a secondary line of defence against moisture, this system was the first expanded polystyrene system to meet the requirements of BS8414 PT 2:2015 and has been accepted and utilised on a wide range of NHBC warranted developments.
Ecomin 300 combines thermal insulation and fire protection in an ideal way. It was the first mineral wool system to be introduced into the EWI market and since then, it has proved itself in practice for more than three decades and used successfully on a number of high-rise projects. Our extensive experience with the system guarantees high quality and functional safety. The system benefits from high water vapour permeability, it helps to save energy and secures the long-term durability of the building fabric. Incorporating a drainage cavity as a secondary line of defence against moisture, Ecomin FS was the first mineral wool system to meet the requirements of BS8414 PT 2:2015 and has been accepted and utilised on a wide range of National House Building Council (NHBC) warranted developments.
