Innovation in New College Block

In keeping with its identity as a forward-thinking, modern facility, architects spearheading the Stroud College project selected Alsecco’s Flexewall Impact & Orgatect facade to grace the exterior of the building.

Architects Ellis Williams and contractors Woodman Bros worked together on the £13m project to deliver a high quality finish to a challenging design, all backed up by keen technical support from Alsecco. The new facility opened to the public on May 3rd to high acclaim and is quite literally state of the art. The curved walls demanded the highest standards of facade application, with little or no room for error.

Jim Holman, Alsecco’s technical representative commented: ‘The outside of the building is the first thing that people see, and that’s why it’s so important. It’s like a shop window; you’ve got to like what you see from the outside before you go any further. It should give you a feel for what’s on the inside.’
