The third in a series of similar state-of-the-art facilities, Knockbreda CTCC was built as part of a Performance Related Partnering Framework for the South & East Belfast Trust.
Providing a range of community care and treatment services for over 70,000 people in the Castlereagh area of Belfast, the Centre exhibits an architecturally striking design designed to stimuilate the users. 3,800m2 of accomodation is set across four storeys with a large glazed central atrium.
As a predominant building within its surroundings, it was particularly important that during construction, local residents were kept fully informed during the process through information sessions, open site visits and briefings.
As a responsible contractor, we took steps to ensure that around 90% of project construction waste was recycled.
In 2009 the scheme was awarded the RIBA Awarded for Architectural Excellence.
